Master of Arts in Education

Early Childhood

The MA Education degree with the concentration in Early Childhood is designed for individuals who desire to serve in in public and private programs serving infants through age four and in transitional kindergarten through third grade classrooms.  This concentration also strengthens Elementary Teachers’ understanding of developmental, social, academic, cultural, and spiritual needs, particularly in the early childhood/primary setting.  Upon completion of the Early Childhood concentration, candidates will be eligible to apply for Child Development Permits to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing with Biola’s formal recommendation. 

The Master of Arts in Education with a Concentration in Early Childhood is a 38-unit program that can be completed in 2–3 years while teaching full time.  View program sheet (PDF).
