FIELDWORK PLACEMENT REQUEST APPEAL

The Fieldwork Placement Request Appeal  can be used to request a specific school/teacher for the next semester's placement. You must fill out the form and return it to the Field Placement Coordinator. A submission of this form does not guarantee that your request will be fulfilled. The directors of Teacher Education will come to a decision regarding your request and you will be notified via email. If approved, the requested placement must meet the following criteria:

  • Cannot be in a school where a family member teaches or works
  • Must be in a WASC accredited school
  • Must be with a fully credentialed teacher who has CLAD and at least 3 years of experience
  • Cannot be in a school previously observed
  • On the first day of class, submit a letter to the professor of the course stating the school name, teacher's name, grade level or subject, and a school administrator's signature
