Describe your job:
I work on projects and tasks that support students in the Special Education department. Everything I do is to ultimately to support and empower students in their education, training and preparation to be Special Ed teachers and researchers.
What's one of your favorite Scriptures and why?:
I love the book of Esther. It is such an amazing story of a strong woman of God who makes terrifying choices in order to protect her people and obey God.
What always brings a smile to your face?:
My three teenaged boys. They are full of life, energy and creativity!
What do you enjoy most about working at the School of Education?:
I love knowing that I am helping to prepare godly people to go out into the world and do the most important job there is: teaching!
What's the first dessert you go for at Thanksgiving (or anytime)?:
Pumpkin pie, of course!
What's one thing we generally wouldn't know about you?:
I used to be a 6 th grade teacher back in the day when 6 th grade was in elementary school. 11 and 12 year-olds are hilarious and energetic!
What is your favorite vacation destination and why?:
I love traveling to Washington State. My brother’s family lives there and we try to visit every year or two. The cool, damp climate and beautiful green landscape is so refreshing to this Southern California born and raised girl (although I always like to return to sunny So Cal).
What is your favorite hobby and why?:
I love creating. Everything from woodworking, to knitting to decorating and gardening is just so satisfying to me. It’s just such a pleasure to take raw materials and make something beautiful and useful out of them.
